The garage, believed to be an old granary, was run for over 40 years as Aulton Garage by Roddie and Ivorie Norrie, who also sold Esso fuel. After their retirement, new owners took on the garage for a short time before it sat empty. Following a major overhaul, the building reopened early 2019 as Cruden Bay Garage. Improvements include a front door, all new equipment and a renovated MOT bay.
